The Good Hope Centre
In line with Cape Town’s selection as World Design Capital 2014, Seed Experiences has selected the city’s iconic landmark, The Good Hope Centre with a view to highlighting its architectural beauty and reviving its presence on the city landscape. Conveniently situated within 20 minutes drive from the airport and only minutes away from the central business district, The Good Hope Centre is flanked by the spectacular Table Mountain, the ocean and the city’s bustling highways and is the perfect venue to host Sonar Cape Town. The interior will be completely transformed for the night, treating fans to a combination of old-school charm, modern beauty and technical production design.
History of the venue
More than 330 years have passed since the Cape of Good Hope was first recognised by the prosperous Dutch East India Company as the go-between on their travels between Holland and East India. Designed by famous Italian architect Nervi, the tradition of the hospitable rendezvous for people from all over the world lives on at The Good Hope Centre in the heart of Cape Town.
